When last we heard from our heroine….

Wowsers – it HAS been a long time since I’ve blogged. (Does anyone even blog anymore?).

Since the last time y’all heard from me – so very much has happened. I’m not sure where to start.

Frankly, it had been so long I forgot my password. But I’m back!

So, in no particular order…..

Had a short but sweet whirlwind romance with a wonderful guy – and because of him, I did so many things I never thought I’d do – tried my hand at standup comedy; went ziplining in Vegas; traveled to both coasts…

In January of last year, I ended up in the hospital with some sort of mystery disease that I have NO recollection of – but basically, I spent the week and a half surrounding my birthday on life support, and then spent the next several months re-learning how to walk, talk, feed myself and put on makeup without looking like I’d been gang-banged by a box of crayons. All of that recuperation happened during the “15 days to flatten the curve” (don’t get me started on that).

Lost my wonderful father-in-law in November of last year.

AND, in January of this year, something I never dreamed would happen… happened.

I was forced to relinquish a beautiful baby I gave birth to when I was in high school. She found me. We’ve reunited. We’ve met in person. Now I have a beautiful family – including three (THREE!) handsome grandsons – that I cherish.

I’m back on Twitter, still posting nonsense on the Book of Face, and hopefully getting enough other crazy stuff settled that I can move forward on my Foodie/cooking site. And I solemnly swear to attempt to blog more often to make up for my absence.

I’ve missed you!
